The Kidde Firex Combination Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector uses a 120-V AC power source with one nine-V alkaline battery as backup so your home is always protected. This detector will warn you of fire particles and elevated carbon monoxide levels, even if the power is out, with its voice alert system. The green LED lets you know it's receiving power and the voice will let you know when the battery is low. It can be used solo or interconnected with other alarms to protect your whole house. It meets requirements of UL 2034, UL217, NFPA72, The State of California Fire Marshall, NFPA 101, FHA and HUD.

  • Smart Touch Button Activates the Hush
  • A green blinking LED light indicates when alarm is in hush mode or powered by battery only
  • End of Life Signal - Ten years after initial power, the unit will "chirp" twice every 30 seconds to indicate the need to immediately replace the alarm
  • Replacement chirp - alerts to replace alarm after 10 years of operation
  • Ensure whole home family protection by placing 1 fire detector and carbon monoxide detector on each level of your home, in your bedroom and other locations where required by law
  • Industry experts (such as the NFPA), recommend that both ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms be installed to help ensure maximum detection of the various types of fires that can occur within the home
  • Kidde offers a full range of 120V AC wire-in life safety products with interconnect capability to provide the most immediate and complete system available. When any one interconnected alarm is triggered, all interconnected alarms within the home sound an immediate warning
  • Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors utilize a photoelectric sensor to detect fire hazards and sound an 85 dB alarm when a hazard is detected
