The 9 inch Square Drain Grate blocks troublesome particles from entering and pclogging your drain pipes, while stormwater flows through. Use the drain grate (also known as a drain cover) to drain moderate flows from lawns, landscaped areas, patios, walkways, and under downspouts. The 9 inch square drain grate has an open surface area of 28.4 sq. inch and a flow rate of 87 GPM. Connects to the Spee-D® Catch Basin Drain, 6 inch sewer and drain pipe and fittings, 6 inch single-wall and dual-wall corrugated pipes, and 6 inch Drain Waste Vent/Schedule 40 pipe for a soil-tight fit. The pipe grate is ADA Compliant. Built to stand up to the elements, it’s made of polyethylene, a type of plastic, using a combination of virgin and recycled content treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking from the sun. As part of a complete drainage system, the grate drains water while preventing leaves and debris from entering the drain pipes. The pipes carry the water to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter, or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench.
