Halogenlampen liefern ein klares, weißes Licht. Die Lichtmenge ist nicht nur größer als bei einer Standardglühlampe mit vergleichbarer Wattzahl, sondern die Qualität des Lichts sorgt auch für einen höheren Kontrast beim Lesen und für andere Aufgaben. Dadurch eignet sich Halogen auch perfekt für die Anzeige und Akzentuierung und Allgemeinbeleuchtung. Sowohl herkömmliche Glühlampen als auch Halogenlampen verwenden Wolframfäden. Allerdings verdunstet der Glühfaden der Standardlampe mit der Zeit, wodurch er schwächer wird und schließlich zerbricht. Die Gase in den Halogenspulen ermöglichen es dem verdampften Wolfram, zum Glühfaden zurückzukehren und sich dort erneut abzulagern, was eine lange Lebensdauer von 2.000 Stunden oder mehr gewährleistet. Alle unsere Halogenlampen sind dimmbar und können in herkömmlichen Glühlampendimmern verwendet werden.
