Wenn die Temperaturen schwanken, kann die Konsistenz eines Wachsrings von einer klebrigen Masse bis zu einem verhärteten Block reichen. Die Gummiaußenseite des wachsfreien Dichtungssets sorgt für eine dichte Abdichtung zwischen dem Boden und der Toilette. Der zweiteilige Schaumstoff-Innenraum passt sich den darüber liegenden Flanschen an, auch bei und unter fertigen Böden, und das völlig ohne Schmutz. Ein weiterer großer Vorteil des wachsfreien Dichtungssets ist seine Möglichkeit, es während der Installation neu zu positionieren. Ein Wachsring kann kaputt gehen und muss ersetzt werden, wenn die Toilette beim ersten Versuch nicht richtig eingestellt ist.
